For the fourth time in the last five years, Lausanne-Sport 3x3 qualified for the 3x3 World Tour Final. This final is composed of the twelve best teams in the world ranked by the performance on the World Tour only. Lausanne-Sport 3x3 was qualified due to the performance in the Lausanne, Debrecen, Montreal and Mexico City events.
It was the second time that the team played in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as they had also been qualified last season at the same event. The importance of this qualification is high for the Swiss club, who has always as an objective to reach this final.
Even though the level of 3x3 is increasing, Lausanne Sport 3x3 still remains in the top 12 teams worldwide and ranks 7th at the end of the season 2021.
For the development of the next generation and also in order to maximize the chances to bring Switzerland at the Olympic Games in 2024, the team will look heavily for sponsorship in the next seasons.
